My name is Joseph Story, I am 33 years old and am based in Manchester. I started learning photography about 5 years ago and shot my first wedding about 12 months later. Wedding photography is not my main source of income but I do enjoy it greatly. Due to time constraints I can only shoot a relatively small number of weddings per year, somewhere between 4-8 separate occasions. What this means however, is that I still enjoy the weddings that I do shoot and I would like to think that this shows in the work that I produce for my clients.
The style that I shoot weddings in is quite simple. I believe in good quality photography rather than poor attempts to be quirky. I like to capture moments in a natural manner and try to portray the atmosphere of the day in my images. Of course, many people want or need more formal shots taken as well as natural or reportage type images which as you will see from the work that I have posted here, is no problem for me to produce. The people who tend to book me for weddings request that I shoot the day as it happens and that my photography is not to intrusive or staged.
